Hana Ali is the next heavyweight contender in the makeup industry. Her career as a professional makeup artist began less than four years ago. Within this time, Hana has achieved many accomplishments and has worked with entertainers, noted celebrity photographers, wardrobe and hairstylists. Her work has been published over 60 times both nationally and internationally in magazines such as Vogue Africa, Upscale, Rolling Out, Fashion Affair, Estella Mag and many more . She has been the key makeup artist on print ads including the 2015 hair care campaign for Bronner Brother's International hair care products Isabella's Own and Nu Expressions. One of her biggest accomplishments was having her work displayed in Times Square during New York Fashion Week for award-winning couture designer Nina Gleyzer. In addition, Hana has worked on broadcast TV shows and networks such as Lifetime, Bravo, TV One, BET, VH1, Comcast TV and Centric; independent film projects, countless fashion shows and local events. She is also the co-owner of Beauty Marked Cosmetics™, a cruelty-free makeup and skincare line which launched in January, 2017.
Although formerly educated with a Master of Education & Technology degree in addition to a B.A. in Mass Communications, Hana decided in late 2011 to pursue her childhood dreams of being an artist and began freelancing part-time which later blossomed into a successful full-time career. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Hana started out practicing her makeup techniques on family and friends. It has been Hana's natural ability, creativity, and talent for makeup that has attributed to her progressive career in such a short amount of time.
Hana specializes in various mediums of makeup techniques which include: bridal, runway, photo shoots for any occasion, haute couture, high fashion, editorial, print/TV/film, and special effects. She was a former beauty columnist for Surreal Beauty Magazine, and is also the co-founder of About Face Beauty Bootcamp in Atlanta, GA-educational makeup classes and workshops for everyday women and aspiring makeup artists, and Face II Face with Hana Ali in Chicago, IL and abroad.
